CatJAM is a custom Twitch emote created by BetterTTV that features a white cat bobbing its head rhythmically as though to the beat of the music.
Originating from a viral video, the emote quickly acquired popularity on Twitch after being enabled by numerous notable broadcasters, eventually becoming the subject of memes in which the  catjam”vibes” to different pieces of music.

On April 15th, 2020, TikTok[13] user micklagi uploaded a video showing a white  catjam bobbing its head rhythmically to the beat of a song, accompanied by Jonas Blue’s EDM single “I Wanna Dance.”
In four months, the video garnered over 239,700 views and 17,000 likes.

Mick Lagi, the video’s maker and a friend of the catjam owner, subsequently revealed[16] that the cat is female and named Minette.

The catjam owner gave it away[17] sometime in Autumn 2020 due to his kid’s allergy.

Twitter[1] user @TheTehseen uploaded the video on July 12th, 2020.
The post garnered over 753,500 views, 26,700 retweets, and 59,200 likes on Twitter in one month.
The video became popular online, with countless reposts on Instagram and other social media sites in the days that followed.
