As seen on Brenda Gantt’s Facebook page, Y’all Sweet Tea was created with the best tea leaves to give you the best tea you’ve ever tasted.
Our household’s secret recipe has been handed down from generation to generation, and it is our job to find it and share it with all of you.

The Best Way to Make Y’all Sweet Tea

How do you make the best  Y’all Sweet Tea?
If you said having a Southern mom who shares her recipe, you’re right, but that’s not the secret we’re looking into today.
Our Southern families make the best sweet tea, and in the function, they’ve found a way to make the classic drink even better.
Over millennia, they have been gracious enough to start sharing one another’s recipe ideas with all of us, and we have learned a few things.
The most important thing we’ve learned seems to be that one anonymous about making tea in the South is quickly becoming, well, not so anonymous.

Making  Y’all Sweet Tea

Many of the steps for making  Y’all Sweet Tea  are the same no matter where you are; add the tea bags and as much sugar as you like.
On the other hand, Southerners know that baking soda can be added to tea to make it look clear and taste smooth.

Y’all Sweet Tea Surprised?

Stick around.
A pinch of baking soda is all you need to make the most transparent, smoothest glass of Y’all Sweet Tea
We mean it when we say “a pinch.”
Our best recipe ever only calls for 1/8 teaspoon of it.
Counting a little baking soda to your tea will empty up any cloudiness left over from mixing, and it’s also thought to cut down on any bitter tastes left over from the tea bags. This will leave your tea clear and smooth, making it a great pitcher of tea for your party.

Check of Y’all Sweet Tea

As somebody who has been blogging for a few years, I sometimes get samples of cookbooks or products to review. If I like it, and only if I like it, I will share my review of that cookbook or product here on the Deep South Dish website. This isn’t one of those times, though. Sometimes a reader will tell me about a good or service that they love, and this is one of those times. Many of you know that my favorite black tea comes from Mississippi, so everything else will be difficult to sell to me. Even so, I felt a bit hesitant about giving this  Y’all Sweet Tea

Y all Sweet Tea is made

Y’all Sweet Tea is made in a town called Hayden, which is way up in the north-central part of Alabama. I’ve ordered from them a few times, but other than that, they don’t know me from Adam’s housecat. Even though they have a few videographer partners on Facebook (Cooking with Brenda Gantt and Mountain Cookin’ with Missy come to mind), I am not one of them.
I’m just telling you what I think, and I haven’t gotten any free stuff or money for doing so.

Y’all Sweet Tea

So far as I know, you can’t buy Y’all Sweet Tea in any store yet, but you can get it from Amazon or by mail.
As of October 2021, two 10-count bags shipped to me by mail cost $21.50 and took about a week to arrive.
I think that’s a fair price for 20 gallons of tea since each bag makes a gallon.
It’s available both with and without caffeine.
